I honestly did not know this.

I saw that show back in the '70s, it was kind of strange but had some good songs.

Saw Dolly Parton in concert once
She tells wonderful stories from her childhood during a concert.
She grew up very poor.
Her mother made her a coat from scraps of material.
The kids at school made fun of the coat.
She came home crying.
Her mother would explain that her coat represents the coat of many colors from the bible :-)

That is one of my favorite songs of all time. I saw Dolly in concert too about 20 years ago in Maryland. A bunch of drunk girls behind me kept screaming "hooters!" between songs so I wouldn't have known what Dolly was saying but I could tell she was telling some stories.

After the song, Dolly told the story of making it big.
She went and bought her Mother an expensive beautiful coat.
Her sensible mother, used to raising a big family with littlle money told Dolly to take that coat back to the store and just give her the money.
Dolly's mother knows how to stretch a dollar :-)

Saw her at Merlefest in North Carolina around 1999.
She comes out on stage to greet the crowd, crowd responds with "Hello Dolly" :-)
Great show, had all the top bluegrass muscians at the festival as her band.
Brought out blind Doc Watson to do a duet with, beautiful show.
I have the recording if interested :-)

I saw it in the late 80's on Broadway.

It was a very syrupy / feel good type of show.

I saw it in the early 90's and fell asleep.
Plays always put me to sleep, never seen
a whole one in my life. I can't stay awake
in school or church either.

I would call Joseph a musical. A play is without song, like Death of a Salesman or the Cherry Orchard.

The only show I watch on FOX is Wayward Pines.

I love Modern Family, have seen all of them at
least 5 times. I like BBT now, it grew on me.
Blue Bloods, Halt and Catch Fire is great, Mr
Robot, which is new. Grace and Frankie, a Nflix
hit, Californication was to die for, Sons of Anarchy,
Antiques Roadshow, American Pickers, American
Restoration, The Amazing Race. On and on, lots
of shows I look at on a regular basis.

Movies, too many to name. I bet I have 200 DVD's.
All the Pirate movies, Bourne, Sex and the City, Buffy,
James Bond, anything with Russel Crowe. On and on.

For the past couple months I have been enthralled
with Anthony Bourdain. I never even heard of him
because I never watch the Travel Channel. I found
a lot of his No Reservations shows on Nflix and On
Demand and the rest on Youtube. 150 shows at
least. Also The Layover and Parts Unknown. I love
these shows, I eat them up like candy. I even bought
his best selling book Kitchen Confidential. I'll watch
the shows 2-3 times eventually, they are that good.
