I'm so glad I came up in the PNW. Portland was heading that way though, even in the late 50's. Give me the country, or the coast. Anybody remember Union Avenue in Portland? Just finished it a few weeks ago. Many great characters. I like Snoop for uniqueness; no fear, no remorse, always in character. The mind hungers for that on which it feeds. |

Again, many thanks. This is a very valuable resource. However, Rick and Morty Season 3 is not available yet. It is listed, but when you click on an ep or season to see which service carries it, you find out none does yet. When it is, I expect I'll see it there. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |

I had no idea it was her, she's had so much work done she's unrecognizable. It was her voice that gave her away. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Letting himself get taken advantage of to find and show how the scams work. I watched the Vegas episode first. He buys a nightclub "VIP Pass" to a few clubs. He gets told that the pass "lets you bypass the general admission line" as well as gets you a free drink. He gets there only to find that the VIP "pass" is a VIP Ticket, and the VIP line longer than the general admission line. Later they show how this is a "funnel" system. Casino is making 7 figures a week (might have been a night on weekends) from these clubs. To make that, they funnel some crumbs to promoters, who make thousands of tickets. These guys funnel some crumbs to the homeless tunnel-rats who sell them on the street to eke out a meager existence. Said TR asks for a "tip" when he sells the ticket. The rube that buys it probably thinks nothing of tipping for such a good ticket. He hits other cities as well, so far it seems the same game is played at all of them. Channel the tourists to some spot where money can be extracted. I have never set foot in a Vegas nightclub. I plan to never do so. Maybe if I win the Bitcoin challenge and Wiz at lunch tells me Lori Grenier called and wants to meet me so asked him to bring me. Maybe. But any person half on the ball knows some dude on the street will not have the "inside deal." I file it under that the casino, promoter, and huckster can all spend the rube's money better than the rube can, so they should end up with it. Still it was interesting to see how it all worked. Great scenery. Sheriff Longmire is a modern 'Gunsmoke' Matt Dillon, the strong silent type. He even looks like a younger James Arness at times. They deal a lot with the local Indian 'rez' and the stories are usually very good. Lou Diamond Phillips makes the show believable with his excellent portrayal of a Navajo. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

Indeed, though don't know if the blonde deputy would be a good catch or a basket case. It is interesting how they portray the Indians. I liked the character of that Indian sheriff. Like Walt, he is dealing with a troubled population. He dealt with it all pragmatically. You have to think being a cop in these places is not all that far off from how they show it. Poor people, drugs, when there is a crime they have a good idea who did it. And they are usually right. Just have to do your best to keep it all cool. The President is a fink. |

The way the character is written, she's a basket case for sure. Insecure, wants to be a man, likes to look sexy but you better not notice. Chicks like that are to be avoided at all costs, they're ball busters. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |

petroglyph Member since: Aug 3, 2014 Threads: 25 Posts: 6227 | She looks like Clay Matthews of the Green Bay Packers. There isn't a person working at the office except the secretary that can follow an order and isn't running some one man crime busting plan of their own. And Longmire won't own a cell phone, and never calls for back up? The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW |
