Maybe go wooden bed and get a replacement front fender. Then run it into the wheels off!

That much rust it has to be what, a
2000 or so? About $1500?

Two suggestions:
1 - Bedliner?
2 - Lift Kit?

The rust looks pretty entrenched. How are the floorboards?

Bedliner is only thing holding the bed together. Everything cab back is junk. Most of cab forward, too. And probably the cab itself XD
But it is a "small" truck, with a V8 and a 5 speed. That part, the core, is the foundation of the dream.

But I'm not a lift guy. I suppose I like "sport trucks". Low and simple. Somewhere between these two...

Of course, nothing near as clean as either. Or maybe not clean at all. Maybe stop dreaming and do what I'll probably do...

Be bold and risk defeat, or be cautious and encourage it.

Oh, I see what you're going for. ; )

Also known as the "feel good movie of the year."

Now I gotta do something to it. Who's gonna inspire me?

I would suggest this and then get a nice Japanese model that will last for another 200k miles.

It's been on the road 20 years, the sub frame
is probably rusted through. You know, the
frame that holds up the ball joints and the
engine and tranny? It just has to drop 2"
when you hit a bump and you lose all your
steering.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Inspiration??
Go buy a bobble headed hula dancer, a penant with a cocktail glass on it and insure it heavily.
Buy battery operated beer cooler. Fly a woman's bra from the antenna.
Remove muffler.

My big project this weekend is to put up a misting system on my patio cover. It would normally be a very simple task except my patio cover is "Alumawood" which is really just a very thin textured aluminum. I just need to figure out how to fasten it without putting screw or holes in the aluminum because that will void the warranty.

Are you putting a easily changeable 2 micron filter in front of the system? Mister systems are wonderful until they clog. Got enough pressure?

I don't know exactly what size the filter is but it looks like this.
