Nice day, time for the Spring trimming of the Bichon. The before pic shows a very shaggy dog. After my clip job, he's more presentable. I have to do his ears with scissors. He's my baby. Saves me 40 bucks to do it myself.

Hiya, curly! interesting pattern of copper hair on his chest; looks like he's been digging in Georgia red clay.
Never doubt a small group of concerned citizens can change the world; it's the only thing ever has

In Bichons, there's an enzyme in their saliva
that turns their hair to an apricot color where
they lick themselves. Dogs are great. They can't
see the world thru our eyes, but they force
us to constantly see it thru theirs. Life without
a dog is unimaginable to me. Dog people are
the best people. Go to a dog park and make
conversation, you'll see.

Or linseed oil.
Boiled or Raw. Linseed oil can be dangerous. One waitress in Oregon was putting the finishing touches on a great big log cabin she had just built and an oil soaked rag caught fire and burned it to the ground. That is when she found out her insurance policy considered it a construction project not a home and therefore it was a total loss without any coverage at all.

Totally true. Seen the very occasional outlier when I had my mother's dog at the park. The other 99% were great. I'd go out in crazy weather, thinking we would have the place to ourselves. Well, most of the time the other dog people had the same idea! They would always chat you up. I will always miss that dog.

Sadly I am gone too long all day to really have my own dog. My life is solitary enough I would always worry for being gone and if something happened to me what about the dog.

Too bad you can't work from home. My dog is
with me 24/7, he's at my feet right now. He
sleeps with me, dogs love beds.

Even when I did, well my life is so isolated. I just go crazy worrying about animals depending on me. Saddest day for me in a long time on Monday. Had never seen a dog put away. If I ever have to do that again I do it early in the day I know that. Usually I'd rather be with the dogs than the people.

I think one of the most wonderful things about dogs is their honesty.

All animals are honest. Dogs just express it in
human terms. They feel and express at least
30 human emotions, far more than any other
creature on the planet. Just own one for a year
and you'll see.

I have had quite a few. My last several were fawn and white boxers. Incredible animals.

My neighbors who I think were dealing drugs had five killer dogs around their house protecting it. Two Rotts, a weimereiner and two pit bulls. My dog got out of his yard and they killed it. I had to pick up my kids at the bus stop and tell them one at a time that their dog died, and how. I haven't had the heart to risk it again since. I put a lot into my animals. It goes both ways.

We are around dogs, my friend always has hunting labs, he was just here for ten days.
