La plus belle pour aller Danser is one of the most beautiful ballads in the world. It's about a young girl, anxious for her first kiss, who makes her own dress, and longs to be the most beautiful dancer on the floor.

This woman has a great voice, but do you think that some people don't have a right to sing certain songs?

Sofia Essaïdi is probably in her late 20's or early 30's.

Sylvie Vartan is singing the same song at age 67, but she made it famous at age 20. In this case I feel like she should be able to sing it until she dies.

Sylvie Vartan is singing the song in 1964 at age 20.

So he is singing of what a man of seventy wants at least.
You've heard of "it takes me all night to do what I used to do all night".
At 70 you begin to lose your memory... you nudge the 17 year old girl and she giggles.."we just did that"!

I think allowances have to be made for someone who writes a song or who makes it famous. Silvia Vartan may be in her late 60's, but she was the one who put it on the airways when she was very young.

I just think if your middle aged you should choose someone else's song that is more appropriate.

Serge Lama is almost 70 in this video, but he wrote the song 40 years ago. Here he surprises the young singer (I doubt it was a real surprise).

He's actually pretty handsy with her on the stage. Considering that he wrote and recorded the song 11 years before she was born. I guess that is very French.
