Also when did poor people moving into neighborhoods drive up property values?

You explain in detail.

After being processed do the illegal immigrants get bussed and left somewhere to live on the street? Or does the government pay housing costs for them for a set time at what ever the market price is for housing?

It is a matter of supply and demand. The tens of millions of illegals aren't living on the streets. They don't mind renting apartments in large groups. Some landlords charge by the person. Ten or more men living in an apartment, each paying $500 each per month, is not uncommon. When you build one million fewer homes than you need every year and add another few million illegals, it tends to create a tight market.

If you are a renter, you are going to be in trouble. If you are a retired renter, you are screwed.

'Biden admin quietly approves constructionof U.S.-Mexico border wall near Yuma, Arizona'

The wall was started by Trump, and Biden immediately stopped construction. Now that Arizona is busing illegals to DC, he is going to finish the wall.

That's not supply and demand, other than by policy of allowing likely unsafe conditions. Landlords are at fault.

So, landlords are at fault, not immigrants. At least in the rentals. If people want to crowd into their own property they buy, I suppose that's allowed.

The economy won't be an issue in November. Since government spending is a component of GDP, the $1 trillion in spending they approved this week should artificially turn what was going to be a negative third quarter GDP, into a positive one.

The Fed will do its part with overnight reverse repos, like they did yesterday, to jack up the stock market.

Voters don't know any better. The administration and the media will say 'See, the economy is growing. The stock market is booming. There is no recession".

The government is at fault for flooding the country with tens of millions of illegals who compete with Americans for housing, medical care, food, energy, education and government services.

If a landlord receives an offer of $2,700 per month for an apartment and a group of illegals offers $3,000 or more, who is driving up the cost of renting?

The American people voted for this.

It's the same old nonsense, like the plot in "Gangs of NY:" those who got here first don't want to share.

Biden is busing them directly from Westchester airport to the shelters in NYC.

Those who arrive by other means can demand shelter.

I don't know about other cities, but NYC is required by state law, to provide shelter for them. Since the shelters are nearly full, the city will rent additional expensive hotel rooms for them at taxpayer expense.

This is what the people voted for.

Mayor Adams: "Okay, well, and the commissioner would say this, but let me tell you this. We are not allowed to say we don't have room. We're not allowed to say that. Right to shelter means we have to keep expanding and be creative in our expansion. That means if we have to get hotel rooms, we get hotel rooms. If that means that we have to find other spaces, we'll find other spaces. There's no such thing as this state saying, "We're turning you away." We're going to have to keep expanding based on the needs, and we're going to have to keep finding the funding based on the needs."
