Well, you can pay $9 for a burrito to help make it happen.

I have no issues paying a few dollars more for groceries if it means workers are getting a fair wage. Even before COVID this was my philosophy with trying to shop at store that had fair working condition.

I don't eat much fast food so I have no clue if prices changed substantially. But, if I did east fast food my philosophy would be the same (in fact it kind of is, I like Chic Filet because of their working conditions, and chicken is just about the only fast food that I actually like occasionally anyway).....

Not saying there aren't healthy choices but in general the easy and cheap promotion of fast food promotes the following.

Which is why it is tasty. I still do not see the problem.

It's a fast food chicken place on the East Coast. But, they have a reputation of paying good wages, being off Sundays, and having good benefits.

I have long said I will gladly pay a dime more per gallon to have a service station attendant pump my gas, like when I was a teenager. It is also a great job for a high schooler breaking out. And it is wonderful for old folks.

My mother has never pumped her own gas. If it gets low and my father hasn't filled it she still goes to a Full Serve station.

That is still a possibility in many places. Some gas stations (often, at least in my observations, in more rural areas), have a different price chart for Self-Serve, and "service", for example "regular self-serve" "regular service", "premium self-serve" etc.... And, if you press the button to request service they will come and fill it up for the service price, and do the windshield wipe thing.

I grew up in a state where it is/was illegal to pump your own gas (unless its a diesel vehicle, which makes even less sense, since that is more complicated than regular gas, I guess maybe the theory is most diesel vehicles are work trucks so they know what they are doing? I don't know, never made sense to me.), so when I was young and just starting to drive it was flabbergasting figuring out how to pump your own gas the first few times when taking road trips out of State. Now, I love self-service. In my experience, it takes way too long for somebody to pump your gas, especially if its late and there is only 1 old guy working like 5-9 pumps. I much prefer to do it myself. Now, I have no problem with it being an option at Stations for those that want/need it (and are willing to pay a few cents a gallon more). But, I strongly dislike States where they make it illegal to self-serve (which I honestly do not understand the point of, its not like a dangerous or complicated activity). I think there are only two States remaining where it is still completely illegal to self-serve (Oregon and NJ if I have it right).
