Its like women in gay clubs: they like the beautiful men, the good clothes, the appreciative comments about their hair.... but they have to accept what comes with it: the gay guy are gay and they ain't gonna go home with you at the end of the day. The women want the beauty and the comments and the humor ... And also want the men to be straight and show some interest in them: ain't gonna happen. There is a difference between a wolf whistle that is complimentary and a street encounter that is excessively annoying but women are often not in the mood to debate the finer points. |

Any woman leaving a nightclub and staggering a bit is likely to get that sort of stuff and these days I bet half the men lined up outside nightclubs have date rape drugs on them. Its a question of priorities. The London MET spent millions on Operation Yew Tree and snared one celebrity who had groped a woman's breast for about fifteen seconds. As one pundit said: with policing goal and prosecutorial goals like that, the UK better start building some very large prisons. |
