Climate Change -- conspiracy theory or is it time we all drive a Prius?

If I were trying to scam folks out of their life savings with climate change ideology, I wouldn't buy property close to sea level.

Those honest folks would surely know something is not right.

And they likely do what other well-off knowledgeable people do. Install reinforced windows for floods and wind and take other measures they can easily afford depending on risks in the area.

You actually don't know how things work. But you're intentionally stupid, because, you could learn, but you don't bother. There will be water surges long before any permanent rise. So, yes, reinforced windows can protect a home for a long time. Many of these people will probably die of old age before they lose the house. It's obviously not the only kind of preventive feature but as you continue to learn nothing, no use wasting my time.

I understand they said these places would be UNDER WATER BY NOW. They say islands will disappear. And water surges would make the places unlivable would they not?

Yup, and there likely will be more options and innovations for those that can afford it in the coming years than there are now. Of course, even those with money who choose to ignore or not do anything will likely have to go live in their 2nd and 3rd or 4th home. Of course, the idea is, to turn things around to attempt to avoid major flooding in the first place, but with people like you, who knows if that will be achieved or not.
