The movie was not bad, for me it was better than the first one which I didn't really enjoy.

Just for Bob, in my opinion there is NOTHING like watching a box office picture on a hige screen with popcorn on my lap and sound and light filling the senses....It is an audio-visual transcendent trip!!! :)

It used to be that way 45 years ago when we still had
the old movie palaces with the huge screens and double
balconies and 50 foot ceilings. Now even the so
called bigger screens are small by comparison, the
ceilings are low, no balconies. And the people are
much ruder. Cell phones going off, people talking
on them and to each other. I'm convinced that's
all they know, they've never seen a movie theatre
any other way. They think that's how you're supposed
to act.

Maybe I'm just lucky but I have found perhaps 2 rude people in my ENTIRE MOVING GOING LIFE inside a movie theater. You will always get exceptions of course but really, I have no problems with movie theaters.

Luckily I'm able to experience movies in countries that still truly value the movie going experience such as Korea and Macau. At Galaxy Macau they have these huge movie houses with private balconies, huge screens with beautifully appointed decorations.....AND they have the sound and picture to match (which I doubt they had back in the day that you mention Bob).

It is all relative, movies, gambling, life. Sometimes you are the bug, sometimes you are the windshield!!!

I prefer to think of them as if I was a crew in a B-52 that got shot down and the enemy is forcing us to watch propaganda films. Only once every year and a half or so do I even go, and what I see is usually a niche film not a blockbuster.

They opened a high quality theater where you can drink beer and wine next to Bethlehem Sands casino. They specialize in more artsy films.

I saw Toy Story 3 on netlfix over the weekend. It was rather nice, and the art has certainly moved forward (though people and toys have a remarkably similar range of facial expressions), but I still like the second one much better.

I think the theme has been played out (no pun intended) and Pixar/Disney should leave it alone until they can safely do a remake 10-15 years from now. Instead I'd like a seuqel to The Incredibles.
