My favorite Julienne Moore movie clip.
From 1993. At about 3:30min in, she proves
she is indeed a true redhead.

Watched "Furious 7" this weekend. It is the latest installment of the "Fast and Furious" franchise. Apparently, three more films are in the pipeline, but this is the one where series star Paul Walker died before filiming was complete (in 2013).

If you have not seen the previous six films, you do need to watch them in order to understand and appreciate the interplay between the characters, and the basic plot conflict. With Walker's death, the script was reworked to make it an homage to the series, and it includes nostalgic echoes from many of the events and individuals that were part of the previous six films. In other words, if you liked the series, you will love this film. It is really interesting to compare this film to the first. The budget for one of the cars in this film is probably more than the production budget from the entire first movie. Skilled driving, and the cars themselves are not so much the center of the movie as before. However, if you don't really care about the history of the franchise, nor the character's motivations, and are only interested in exciting stunts and interesting CGI effects, this movie is still for you.

Granted, most of the stunts are bordering on silly (dropping cars out of airplanes, or jumping them between skyscrapers), but there are plenty of chases, flying bullets and fist-fights (including a one-on-four all girl melee) to keep it fun and interesting.

Handling Paul Walker's life and death is very well done. The film contains a fitting goodbye. He will be missed.

Ever see how they film a fight scene? It's as
exciting a watching toast get brown. A hundred
takes, doing each little bit over and over. Hit
the guy, do it again. Hit they guy, do it again.
Then pick the one in editing that looks the most
real.

You know the marriage is in last stages when the husband looks at her and he just starts yelling, "What do you think you are one of your g-d--- paintings?"

Just saw the Total Recall remake from a
couple years ago. Why it got 33% on RT
is a mystery. It was far better than the
original, in fact, I'll never watch the orig
again. This was fast paced and entertaining
from start to end, and no dumb Ahnold
acting to endure. Great FX, makes the
orig FX look childish.

Mars was the worst part of the orig,
the FX were awful. This had the
gorgeous Kate Beckinsale chasing
Colin Ferrell from start to end.

This had the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale ...

She was in a Shakespeare movie in 1993 when she was age 20. It was her first feature film. She was so cute and sweet playing a virginal maiden, that I never thought she would end up an action star.

She has no speaking part in this scene. It was a small role, but it required a young girl of celestial beauty.

I like when Ferrell character says he
never for a minute thought she
was pretending to be married.

"I give good wife" Beckinsale replied.
