Saw the "Peanuts" movie. If you love Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the gang, then you will love the nostalgia of this film.

This studio tried to do the same thing with "Mr. Peabody & Sherman" and "Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who!". They are capitalizing on nostalgia from half a century ago to try and keep parents entertained while watching their kid's watch a movie. Horton was pretty good, Peabody was unwatchable.

I have higher hopes for this film.

I never understood the appeal of Peanuts. It has never been funny. It has been the unfunniest comic since forever.

Good god. I want to call you so many
names right now, I would be banned
for a month.

You don't understand IRONY? You
don't understand PATHOS? You don't
understand the human condition?

What the hell is wrong with you..

I like the Peanuts strips, but never cared for the cartoons.

The strips were more like short vignettes, sometimes taking up a story across several strips. Curiously one I recall (I haven't read one in years) concerned Charlie Brown procrastinating on homework and finally finishing it at 3 AM the day it's due (we've all been there). There was another where Snoopy decides to read "War and Peace" at the rate of one word per day. He gets into an argument with the bird over this

Interesting that you should mention "homework" and "War and Peace". Both figure prominently in the film.

Peanuts started in 1950. I saw it as a
kid in the 50's. It's iconic, it hits us
where we live, that's why it's as
popular now as it ever was.

G rated films are a tough sell for anybody besides Disney. Fox has had limited success in the past. Perhaps they will do better with Peanuts
Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who! Fox $154,529,439 2008

Space Chimps Fox $30,105,968 2008
Ramona and Beezus Fox $26,167,002 2010

FOX animated films with PG ratings have been a gold mine for the studio
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel Fox $219,614,612 2009
Alvin and the Chipmunks Fox $217,326,974 2007
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs Fox $196,573,705 2009

Never seen any of the Linda Lovelace porn films, but while looking up obscure actors (Corporal Boyle of Gomer Pyle), I saw he acted in "Linda Lovelace for President"

Never saw that one either, though I remember the name.

So, started reading reviews of her films on IMDB. I didn't know she did two bestiality films, but there are reviews of those.

That was enough, reading the reviews. (well, I only read one of those, one canine film review is enough reading)

SPECTRE was beautifully choreographed with fantastic cinematography. But the story line was bland and the characters far less engaging than in Skyfall.

The girls are beautiful. Moneypenny who was introduced in Skyfall is now pretty hot. Monica Bellucci is the first Bondgirl to be over age 50, and probably the first time in the franchise that the actress is older than the actor who plays Bond. The cars are, of course, incredible.

Léa Seydoux has probably the most "girl next door" looks in Bond history. I mean she is beautiful, but not in quite the same way.

I think that the broadening of the character to make the films more appealing to women was what has pushed the series to it's new stratospheric heights. But the next one should have a little less cinematography and a little more old fashioned humor.
