In real life the reporter depicted in the movie (Kathy Skruggs, played by Olivia Wilde) tended to be sexually available to a variety of her information sources, but there is no proof just which police she slept with during the Jewell hysteria. The movie depicts her as involved with officials running the Jewell case, a distinct possibility and a reasonable portrayal of her character but not provable as to specific partners. |

Dumb alternate history where Bruce Lee is a chump and the Manson family gets their butt kicked What a waste of talent Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Did you also dislike Inglorious Bastards for the same alternate-reality reason? Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

I liked Inglorious Bastards. Had quite a few gripping scenes Hollywood movie seemed kind of pointless with no gripping scenes Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |

Yeah, the first scene right at the beginning of Inglorious. Not much more gripping than that. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

I'm not sure you see my point. That was an alternate-reality movie too. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

Bastards had a lot of good scenes. Good Story regardless of the alternate history Hollywood, not much of a story. Overall pretty boring movie. I'm ok with alternate history if the movie has a good story. Liked Watchmen, the movie, that was alternate history also One of my favorite books is 1632 Ring of Fire. A modern West Virginia city in the middle of 1632 European wars. Talk about altering history big time Sometimes we live no particular way but our own - Grateful Dead "Eyes of the World" |
