Made the mistake of watching Cowboys and
Aliens again. It was even worse the 2nd time.
It's 90 min, the first 30 min are like a boring
episode of Gunsmoke, no aliens at all. The
rest of it is just dumb and disjointed.

Daniel Craig is great as the hero, though.
His craggy face was made for westerns.
He was very good in his part, too bad he
couldn't save the picture.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Bohemian Rhapsody opens tomorrow. I'm hoping to see it this weekend. Maybe tomorrow night.

The trailer looks outstanding.

I don't get it. All the critics seem able to talk about nothing else. Its a movie about a rock and roll performer known for his costumes and his habit of not facing the audience. Was the music good or was it all showmanship?

I must be hungover. I read this as if it were "Pb guitar".
Not even a heavy metal band uses a guitar made from the metal 'lead' (Pb).

I saw Bohemian Rhapsody last night. I would say I liked it, but didn't love it. I'm sure it was a challenge to cover a band as huge as Queen with at least a dozen huge hits everybody knows, not to mention pulling back the veil of mystery that covered Freddy Mercury. That said, the movie felt rushed to me. There was also a big emphasis on Freddy's sexuality and the dark period of his life when he went solo. I could have done with less of that. It would have been nice to see more of Brian May, the astrophysicist on lead guitar, but probably only science nerds like me would say that.

Comparing it to other biopics on musicians, I liked it about the same as Selena, and The Doors. La Bamba and Walk the Line I liked more. On the 0 to 10 scale, I give BR a 7.

Man, Queen's 1985 live aid concert is one of the best live concerts recorded on youtube. I hear it's reproduced in the movie.

But I recently stumbled across this gem, so I'll post this instead.

You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

Hmm,
I may have to look for it
I'm kind of a passive collector rather then a searching collector. I don't really search. I'm happy just browsing what people are uploading, downloading and discussing at the current time. If something interests me, I download it. I use bit torrent so its really fast if a lot of people are downloading the same show.
Since the movie is out, Queen is probabbly a topic of discussion among live music fanatics like me

Added edit
Did not see it, checked out youtube
25 min set and they only did the 1st 2 min of Bohemian Rhapsody before moving on to Radio Gaga

Here it is. In the movie they ran that scene almost the full way. They also had some great shots of the crowd, that looked like they were taken from a drone, but I doubt that technology existed in 1985.
