I don't see it falling. The USA, China, and S Korea really do not want it to fall. The world is littered with failed nation-states that hardly function. Nation-states that need to be put into a sort of bankruptcy/receivership, have an appointed leader with total power and be rebuilt. In this day and age that will not happen. I see one of two things happening. The kid is young and still out to prove himself. He will either have a long, Saddam-like reign where he cleans house every now and then, keeping his cabinet in constant fear; or sooner or later one of his underlings will develop the "real power" and the kid will be a figurehead to the people who are so brainwashed that for any other face to be in charge would be chaos. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

The first one is the hardest. There are always problems to be solved, and executions provide some immediate relief. Bloody Mary executed her 17 year old first cousin (one generation removed) in 1554 even though Mary felt that she was personally innocent and was manipulated by her step father. After the execution of Lady Jane Grey, the last four years of Bloody Mary's reign were (of course) a bloodbath. Ironic to me personally, I come over here to see what's up because of the fussing in the other forum, and the first thread I read contains the most fascinating picture I saw in 1977. I sat in front of the original of this in the National Gallery for probably 2 hours, just looking at all the details and the story of it. Still resonates with me. Thanks.
