A movie that is attractive to all ages; builds on word of mouth and good reviews; doesn't exhaust it's entire viewing audience in a few days; is attracting adults to special showings in 3D and IMAX; and may mark the return of a movie with a successful boxoffice to the Best Picture contender. Gravity's 10 day boxoffice equals that of World War Z which is ranked #8, but it is has more legs than almost every recent movie. As this is the fourth big hit for Sandra Bullock (who is approaching the age of 50) she seems to be rapidly approaching the top actress in film today. 6/28/13 The Heat 11/20/09 The Blind Side 6/19/09 The Proposal |

I see the promo of her flying off in to space and I go "hmmmm, how much Oxygen do they give them these days?" In other words she looks like a goner, and if they have her surviving with just her suit for "hours" I ain't buying it I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me] |

I've read that it is a complete fantasy regarding the laws of physics. The reviewer said that it shouldn't be judged on that basis. |

There was a science consultant, but he noted, that certain things were specifically altered for typical reasons. For instance Bullock's hair would be a scare doo shooting straight out. They preferred her to look more typically attractive. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

Most people are blindingly ignorant of any science. I am willing to bet more than half the people in the USA don't know what causes the 4 seasons. I don't begrudge a filmmaker from breaking the laws of physics for the sake of his story. |

And even many among those who do know very likely don't know how. "Does anything from the movies actually work in real life?" Homer Simpson. Donald Trump is a one-term LOSER |
