The latest list was just published. Income is from all sources and is restricted to actresses and reality TV stars (none of the big money earners like Oprah or Judge Judy or Ellen DeGeneres).

Sofia Vergara is not only acting on American TV, but also Mexican and Colombian TV series. She is a marketing powerhouse at the age of 41. Men of all ages like her, women like her, Anglos like her, and Latinos like her.

Kaley Cuoco at age 27 is also effective at selling products to mostly people under 40.

Mariska Hargitay, Ellen Pompeo, Julianna Margulies, Lena Dunham and Kerry Washington are the only ones making a name in drama
Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian plus Bethenny Frankel are making a fortune in reality television with almost no appeal to straight men

Cobie Smulders (age 31) is posed to become the TV actress with the second highest potential earnings next year, as she is transferring from one hit series to a second one "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." which will only fail to become a hit if there is a historic screw up.

Why does Sofia Vergara make so much?
She's my least fave of MF, too loud and
corny. She's a caricature of Latino women.
She's a modern Ricky Ricardo, mispronounces
words and misunderstands them.

She's beautiful, but her character is uber
irritating on AF. I swear, half her sentences
start with 'Oh, Jay', meaning her husband.
She's a stereotype, it's insulting. The Gay
guys are not stereotypes, I really like what's
written for them. I like the kid, Manny, he's
cool. The husband, Phil Dumbass, is also
a stereotype. He's 10 different sitcom
dumbass husbands all rolled into one
big dumbass. I like the show over all, I
see it in reruns every day. The two sisters
are very good, smart and dumb. I like the
mom, Clair, but I really like the actress,
so that's part of it. It's mostly the Gay
guys I like, and the appearances of Nathan
Lane. He loves it when he can Gay it up
real good, I'm sure that's why he does the
show. He sure doesn't need the money.

Sofia made it big in the mid 1990's when she hosted a travel show for Univision.

Well Cobie Smulders & Alyson Hannigan & Courteney Cox had their TV series end. Perhaps Claire Danes took a pay cut. Julie Bowen (Modern Family) got a phenomenal pay increase. Emily and Zooey (sisters) both made it this year. Sofia came in top for the fourth year in a row.

For actors The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons leads the pack with a $29 million haul earned between June 1, 2014 and June 1, 2015 but the 15th ranked actor made $9.5 million (much higher than the 15th ranked female TV star). While female stars are drawn equally from sitcoms and dramas, only 4 of 15 top earning actors are from dramas (NCIS’s Mark Harmon; Grey’s Anatomy Patrick Dempsey; Simon Baker' The Mentalist and Kevin Spaceys House of Cards).

If Kaley Cuoco, the least talented member of
the cast, is making $28 mil a year, what the
heck are the others making.

$29 million Jim Parsons
$27 million Johnny Galecki
$20 million Simon Helberg
$20 million Kunal Nayyar

Although ratings are dropping this year for TBBT I don't think they could push it past 10 years with those salaries even if the ratings began to soar. Spinning off a follow on with one or two characters has not usually worked in the past. Frasier being the huge exception. Joey and AfterMash being more the norm. They are probably better off casting the stars in brand new TV shows.

When TBBT and Modern Family finally are cancelled under the weight of their star salaries, it is not clear if any future live action sitcom will replace those stratospheric salaries. The current third place sitcom is Mom, about mother and daughter alcoholics.
