Greenland is "in the news."

I vote for number two: negotiate.

Just because the fat oaf wants to exploit the natural resources and is a narcissistic twit does not justify abrogating our NATO obligations, let alone justify an invasion.

We have had a great relationship with Greenland/Denmark for decades and many functional bases there. By using threats to take Greenland, not only do we risk those bases, we risk all European bases (basically every European country said they will close down U.S. bases if we use force or threats to take Greenland.)

And, personally I am on the side of the EU for once in a turn of events. We are not the good guys here. We are risking a good system for childish reasons. In trying to make America an empire, we are going to lose our actual influence.

But, we are seriously considering invading Greenland, Trump has made statements about annexing Canada, and offhand comments about annexing Mexico, as well as Carribean countries. Is there a North American country he hasn't at least joked about invading? This is why the U.S. is becoming very similar to Germany in the early 30s, "he won't actually do it, he is just joking...". We know how this ends and how history will look at us.

TDS. We do know how this one ends. We do not attack Greenland. It probably ends with some mineral deal we wouldn’t have gotten without the bully being a bully. I think there is general bipartisan agreement that Trump is just plain wrong on this one.
