May and June revised numbers job growth, worst in 5 years.

Dow down almost 600 already and it's only day one of the oaf's big, bloviated tariffs.

It's only held up that well because the markets expect TACO

As for the jobs figures: Nothing he can't fix with a sharpie.

Or firing those who report news he doesn't want us to hear...like he just did.

Except we realized that FULL dependence on foreign producers of some stuff (medicines, computer chips, etc..) puts our national interests at risk.

That is exactly the point. Certain things we always need to manufacture. It is fine to buy them cheaper but the we need to subsidize manufacturing here so we always have the ability.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent.

"Important numbers like this must be fair and accurate, they can't be manipulated for political purposes,"
Trump said in his post on Truth Social.

Laughable.

I think most Americans would be in favor of policies that generally shift manufacturing back to our 50 states. What governor doesn’t boast when a new factory is being built in his state? You think even Newsom will say ‘I am sorry to announce that Abbott Labs will now be opening a factory here in California’?

Can you point us to any of your writings over the last 20-30 years that stated your opposition to companies offshoring manufacturing, or are you just a Johnny-Come-Lately?

??? No, I won’t do that for you.

I do remember participating in a doctor only forum where we bemoaned the lack of certain drugs when overseas sources dried up for whatever reason. I’m sure this has impacted you in your job as well.

My post, though, is more about what ‘most Americans’ and not specifically me, think. DRich summed it up pretty well, that there are certain things you want some ability to make at home so we never are fully dependent on a foreign supplier.

Can YOU show any of my posts where I say I am against companies manufacturing products outside of the USA? Since you implied I did?

You can't it because you are a Johnny-Come-Lately. Most Americans cared about offshoring back then. But you didn't. So why now?

My point is for decades companies have been offshoring manufacturing and supply jobs overseas, with the support of their Republican friends in politics and the support of their conservative investors and shareholders. I am willing to bet that also includes you. What changed? Why was offshoring jobs overseas to decrease costs and to increase the price per share on the quarterly report good back then, but all of a sudden the same people who cheered offshoring back then bemoan it now?

What changed?

Two words: "Donald Trump."

How typical: create a problem then claim you can solve it.
