You are absolutely wrong. Being racist consists of being super aware of somebody being a different race than you and that's extremely prevalent now. People will go out of their way and bend over backwards to be polite and act phony just so nobody thinks they're racist. But that itself is racism. It's the epitome of racism. Being non-racist consists of really not caring what race another person is. Not noticing, not caring, not treating them any differently than you treat anybody else. People walk on eggshells now around black people which is racism.

I was once in an online discussion somewhere and pointed out that Africa was far less advanced than Europe which is why they fell to colonialism. A true and factual statement. Some other guy called that a racist comment. That is where we are in America today.

There was a thing in NJ back in the 90s saying blacks got pulled over for speeding more than whites. Rush Limbaugh dared to ask, "Has anyone checked to see if they are speeding more than whites?" Of course people were upset. IIRC they did spot check and indeed there were more blacks speeding than whites.

I think it was also Limbaugh who called out those that said the SAT is "racist" because blacks score lower than whites. He asked anyone to point out any racist questions on the SAT. The reply was, "the whole test is racist!" Now, there could be many reasons blacks score lower. But in today's USA you cannot point them out because you will be called racist.

While liberals call conservatives "racist" it is really liberals who are the most racist. They just cover it with good intentions. An episode of AITF they are playing some "truth game" where you have to tell people how you really feel. Lionel tells Mike that Mike never talks to him as a person but as "a representative of the black community." Mike asks him if he would rather just talk about the weather. Lionel says, "Why not? Black people have weather!"

Today Mike would be the one saying blacks cannot figure out how to get an ID to vote. He would say they cannot get a good job without the help of whites.

Not at all. I know people who are racist to people of their own race.

That's because now people think the word racist means anything they want it to mean. Absolutely everything and anything is racist now.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

Libs have called math racist. And a highway racist. In medical school we were taught that different races are susceptible to different diseases at different rates. Caucasian? Skin cancer. African-American? Hypertension. Native American? Alcoholism. Jewish? Tay-Sachs.

We would always start our presentations like this…. 66 year old, Caucasian female…. I’m wondering if political correctness has changed that…?

I remember back in the 90s Limbaugh talking about liberals calling vanilla racist. Some company said "we are vanilla' meaning they were "safe" and not doing crazy things. I forget the industry. Some lefty group said that was racist.

But to your other point and why I responded. I find it interesting how some people, usually lefties, try to say how we are all "genetically the same" and there is "no difference between the races genetically." I always wondered the same, if medical schools teach that you should consider race and what races are susceptible to when doing a diagnosis.

I think the "Out of Africa" hypothesis is garbage.

I don't buy it.

The answer is yes. There are some really clear cut examples, like the Tay-Sachs I mentioned. Sickle cell disease is another easy example. Most diseases/conditions are equally common to all humans, but not all. My favorite example is redheads needing more anesthesia.

I always wondered if that was actually true. I will accept your credentials and experience and now believe that it is true.

I remember some medical show when I was a kid, maybe "Trapper John, MD" where the story arc was some guy died of Sickle Cell and his wife was like, "that's a black disease" but the guy was light skinned enough he passed himself off as white. I was probably 9 years old or so thus I do not remember much of the plot.

Never heard the thing on redheads.

It makes you wonder about other abilities. I have read that blacks have a muscle mass thing that gives them an advantage where short bursts are important, like sprints or boxing. Lots of cultures specialized in certain things. Problem is PC will not let us explore it.

If the color of your skin mattered, then all kinds of countries in Central and South America would be great and they're not by our standards. Any kind of hatred isn't even possible to me in any logical sense to waste thoughts on. I can see how some people get injured innocently as collateral damage.
