I could live next to my destroyed house if I had to, if I had access to what I needed. I'd still be worried about increased cancer risk over the long term. Ground blasts give the "nuclear footprint" that is really bad. Most blasts are above ground to maximize effect. The fallout is what gets you. If you don't shelter from it cancer will probably come your way. After cleanup it is probably livable. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |
