Yes, but when you use binoculars and a telephoto lens on women they accuse you of stalking.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent.

My drugs, if not covered by insurance, are ‘expensive’. But not as expensive as Zolgensma. A one time infusion for spinal muscular atrophy, it costs $2.125 MILLION. But don’t worry, they will let you pay $425,000 a year for 5 years if you can’t afford the one time payment of over $2 million. The company says they will rebate ‘some’ of the cost if it doesn’t work.

About eight years ago doctors suggested that my wife try a drug for her immune disorders that was going to cost us about $12,000 a month, Honestly, that is more than we can afford and insurance would not cover it. Later that month we saw a story on the news of a Nevada inmate that was being provided the same medication. That made both my wife and I take a harder look at our societal systems.

The solution isn't to deny the inmate needed medications, but to make the medications affordable to people like your wife.

I agree with you 100% but the fact is that is not the current world we live in. To me, the question is should an incarcerated person get benefits above and beyond what lawful taxpayers are being provided? I tried to convince my wife to commit a heinous crime so she could get the medication.

Well, the US Constitution prohibits "cruel and unusual punishment", and denying life sustaining medical treatment, even if that treatment is a benefit above and beyond what lawful taxpayers are being provided, is against the Constitution. Prisons have lost many a lawsuit over the years. They've also won a bunch as well. And no, I have no problem whatsoever giving the incarcerated life sustaining and curative medical treatment that the general public, for financial reasons, may not have access to. The solution to make such treatments affordable to the general public. It was not too long ago that prisoners were denied treatment for opiate addiction, or HIV infection, or Hepatitis infection.

That being said, prison healthcare is horrible.

Oh no, you'd want her to commit a substantial financial crime that would leave you living high on the hog.

However, I've heard prison healthcare is the next best thing to being left to die.
