I was watching an investment ad, and they used a cartoonist who's style is to show cute people

I really dislike that type of cartoonist

I don't remember the good old days, when somoene asked me how old I was and I answered in fractional amounts. "4 1/2".

I am starting to answer in fractional amounts again because I am never certain if I will make it to the next birthday. Right now I am 58 and 11/12th's.

Wow, I would be a 117 half years which sounds more depressing.

I am sort of numb to headline-earning contracts scored by various athletes, it has been more than I can comprehend for so long ... sort of like measurements in the universe, I can't relate, and it just buzzes past me. But you have to say 'good for them', the athletes earn these things

In other areas, I still struggle, not used to it, probably also not really keeping up with the decline in the dollar. Steven A. Smith's new $20 million per year contract is an example. I just can't imagine why somebody on ESPN can be worth that much. I almost never tune in to a show he's on, so that's one problem too.

However, you have to say the same thing: 'good for them' if that's what they can command
