What exercises?

Stretching?

Yea
Laying on my back and bringing my knee in close to my chest as far as possible and stretching the foot back and forth then taking the knee to the side like the classic figure 4 leg lock in wrestling
OMG, the relief
I was really worried about this pain till I went on youtube.

Getting your medical information from anonymous sources with no controlled trials. Hmm I thought you were against that.

Yup
Life is all about calculated risk
Everything is a gamble
Drugs, high risk
Stretching, low risk
Its all about risk
It was also a fun game. Played a ton of Risk growing up

My sciatica was so bad that I would lay in bed and cry at night while constantly thinking about amputating my own leg.

Luckily for me 4 screws and a couple rods solved the problem.

Played a game of risk on New Years Eve and a guy broke the treaty with his wife. She left the party and they never lived together again and got divorced.

Did you ever play with 12 people and 2 boards? We dusted one set of army markers with white spray paint and made Kamchatka a star point between the boards with 4 directions you could go. That game was usually good for an extra hour of play time.

My sciatica eased / went away when I stopped doing yoga with all of its side stretches.

I believe the frequent side bending put pressure on the nerve as it exited the narrowed canal in my spine, causing inflammation.

Ah, sweet relief.

I was in excruciating pain and almost passed out while upside down. I didn't know that my pain was caused by a broken back until many years after that experience.
