Just went up on my roof without incident.

Two people around here I know fell off their roofs and got hurt recently. You have to wonder what it was they didn't foresee, they're both smart enough to know to be careful. Maybe I should be grateful the incidents made me extra careful, in particular it occurred to me that not only do you need to be careful with the ladder positioning and all that, but you need to be sure you can get back on the ladder when it's time to come down. Sure enough getting back on the ladder seemed like the hairiest part.
Smart doesn't make them savvy.

That has always been the hard part for me. I will climb the tallest ladder, but I don't want to get off it.

If you can't see the animal in this picture you could be its next victim.

So I occasionally watch "Moonshiners", a TV show on Discovery Channel that chronicles the lives of a bunch of hillbillies making and selling illegal moonshine. Part of the story is how they try and hide from the authorities! Yet they are CLEARLY visible throughout the show, and although their exact locations and names are not mentioned, I doubt it would take much police work to locate and arrest them. I mean, these are federal crimes.... tax evasion, transporting crap over state lines, etc.... It just doesn't add up to me?

Edit.... supposedly two main characters are licensed distillers..... then the show is a hoax because the main premise of the show is them hiding.... not paying taxes on the shine..... I guess I am putting too much thought into this....
