There already is a glut of domestic oil...that we don't refine because our refineries are built to refine foreign oil that has different chemistry. We already pump so much natural gas that our storage tanks are overflowing and the companies are just flaring it off as waste as soon as it's pumped. It costs billions to build a fission power plant and without subsidies are almost never profitable over their lifetimes...which is a shame because I like nuclear power. Faced with those headwinds, I'm dying to see what the next administration has in store.
