If one drops out, now you'll hear about who and why they dropped out!

I am starting to appreciate the Russian system of electing.

He was expected at other debates, look at his primary history..... In fact this most recent primary he did not attend a single one....

Why would he? Nobody competitive was running against a former POTUS. Bad move to give opponents that level of cred.

I do not see anything about her stating she will not go on Fox News. Many democrats do debates on Fox, this is pretty routine.

It happened. I do not have time to look for it but she refused.

You are out of touch if you Harris will be the one to drop out. She wants the rules changed so there is evidence of the comments Trump makes between questions. Which I agree is a silly thing to fight for, but she seems to think it will be good. Personally I think it will be better for everyone if they do mute Trump, so I do not really care much either way. But, this is just an example of something Trump will whine about.

Out of touch how? She dropped out in 2020 before one vote was cast! The rules were set now she wants to change them. She is trying to find an excuse. She wants to hide out and not have people hear her. Trump is not whining, she is!

I would not go that far, but a Europeans system would be better. For example in the UK you are only allowed to campaign X number of weeks before the election that you are registered for (maybe somewhere in the 2-3 month range,) whereas in the US it goes on for like 2 years. US is bizarre in the never ending campaign cycle, after this fall, regardless of who wins, we will immediately transition for the 2026 season.... Of course I doubt that this will change because people will say any such regulations are a violation of free speech stuff....

The USA was not like this until the 1990s. Bill Clinton enacted the "permanent campaign" after elected, meaning you keep trying to get your message out day in and day out at the intensity of a campaign. Meanwhile CNN got into more and more homes and had hours to fill. And lets not forget the internet and all the new ways to communicate.

Everything grew from there. Not going back to how it was, except the occasional smoke-filled room choosing a Kamala over the will of their voters.

Based on the polls, seems like they chose well.

If it bothers you that much how the Dems replaced their candidate after the nonbinding straw poll that is the primary according to the rules that are common to both parties, you are welcome to vote for Joe as a write-in when the time comes.

The only thing that bothers him about it is that a much better candidate was chosen, and now his cult leader is in peril.

Clearly Donny has really been focusing on policy details during his debate prep.

Quote:
Q: What specific legislation will you commit to to make child care affordable?

Trump: Well, I would do that and we're sitting down, you know, I was, somebody, we had Marco Rubio and my daughter, Ivanka… But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I'm talking about that because the child care is, child care couldn't, you know, there's something you have to have it in this country, you have to have it... I want to stay with child care… So we'll take care of it. Thank you

If you a person who criticizes Kamala’s answers to questions, but will give this a pass: do yourself a favor and walk into oncoming traffic.

It looks like Trump is making more of an issue of the muting factor. We will see if he attends the debate. I am still 50/50. But, the idea that anybody other than Trump will pull out is silly.....
