The story of Jesse James is a great example of how people will believe what they want to believe regardless of the facts

James began his violent career as a "bushwhacker" operating against the abolitionists in Missouri and Kansas during the Civil War. He and other followers were accused of committing atrocities against Union Soldiers and civilian abolitionists; including allegations that he was involved in the Centralia Massacre

After the war, he used his talents to commit robberies and killings at banks, stores, trains and stagecoaches

The folklore of the time portrayed him as a kind of Robin Hood; robbing from the rich and giving to the poor -

He was probably regarded in a positive light because of others who hated the abolitionists

But there is no evidence that he ever gave anything to the poor or to anyone outside of his network

And probably many of the people he killed, if not poor, were barely scraping by

He was a vicious, murderous piece of scum who is estimated to have killed at least 20 people such as bank tellers, shopkeepers and stagecoach drivers

but if you happen to be touring Missouri you can visit various locations that pay tribute to him:
.

The James Farm

The Jesse James Home Museum

The Jesse James Bank Museum

The Jesse James Tavern

Each year in September a recreational Fair is held at his boyhood home - The Jesse James Festival

Folklore is the media of the times trying to get eyeballs. Same as today with with Trump. Trump is regarded in a positive light by Fox because of their hate for the left. Some things never change
Jesse James was a viscous murderer that captured the imagination of the public just like viscous murderers Bonnie and Clyde.
There is a wonderful yearly festival in Northfield MN reenacting the James/Younger robbery that totally went sideways for the gang. It celebrates common citizens organizing to save their own money from murderous theives.

King Cyrus was a bad guy.

5777: Is Donald J. Trump a Cyrus or a Nebuchadnezzar?
.
.
.
Donald Trump is the 45th president of the United States, and Isaiah 45 is the chapter that deals with Cyrus.
.
.
.
God used Cyrus for the good of the Jewish people even though Cyrus was a “pagan” king. He was the first non-Israelite king to be called God’s anointed.
