Funny you did not say an armed rioter which is what the guy was. Should never have been convicted properly. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

And the Jan 6th insurrectionists were….? Under Duffy’s logic they should all be exterminated. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Tell that to the liberals who convicted him...oh wait a minute, he was adjudged guilty by a jury of his conservative peers. What basis, other than political expediency, did Abbott have to pardon the murderer? If there were technical or legal errors an appeal would address them. No, just a naked power play... |

How and where did you find the political leanings of his jury? I am curious. In any case seems wrong to convict a man for defending himself against a violent insurrection. War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength |

Seriously doubt the jury was conservative. Austin is a very liberal city. Texas is a 'Stand Your Ground' state. Which means Perry was not required to retreat to a safe location rather than stand his ground. Stand your ground and liberal gun laws that allow people to carry automatic pistols and assault rifles in public are not a good combination. Foster approached Perry and was eighteen inches from him, wearing a mask and carrying an AK-47. He was shot in his left side, which means the barrel of the rifle was facing the driver side door. Not necessarily pointed at it. Rounds from an AK-47 can penetrate car doors. Even if he didn't point the rifle at Perry as Perry claims, there is a force or fear factor there, which would justify the use of DPF if the person reasonably fears imminent peril of death or serious bodily harm. Foster had been warned by police at previous protests he was carrying his rifle in a dangerous manner. Interviewer "Why do you got it (your gun) out tonight? Foster's last words: "I think the people that hate us and wanna do s@#t to us are too big of pussies to stop and do anything about it, so..." So,he was looking for a confrontation. If those 'pussies' were too afraid to stop and do anything about it, why carry an AK-47? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keB4CL3AuuA |
