With all the countries on the globe, which country governments are racist, thereby violating human rights?



I think what made the USA such a powerful corporation is, the rate in which we tried to remove racism based upon our melting pot.

It makes sense that if we increase racism, the opposite will happen.

To answer many questions….

1. I don’t, nor have ever, wear a wig. I did use Rogaine a few decades ago with no success. I’ve embraced my close to being baldness…

2. I don’t wear a nightie. Never have.

On to the topic…. I can’t answer DG’s ‘crime against humanity’ question because I clearly don’t agree with his definitions of such.
I think our federal government tries as hard as is reasonably possible to NOT be racist. The few examples (Biden announcing no White male will be considered for Vice President or Supreme Court) to me are exceptions as opposed to the majority of policies.

I always assumed that I would be the guy wearing a toupee. My head is so round I would look exactly like Charlie Brown without hair. Fortunately, it doesn't appear like I will have a hair loss problem for a long time.

My Dad had a lock of his mother's hair in a box. It still looked like new when I last saw it. I lost it at some point. Egyptian mummies have hair sometimes, but it turns red after all that time.

As the sitting President, Joe Biden can use whatever criteria he wishes to choose his political/judicial appointees. White males are just going to have to get used to the fact that there are other people out there just as qualified and credentialed for office as any counterfactual white male.

Liberals have to learn that they are not immune from being called out for their racism.

Down here, the word liberal means something different.

I usually say non-conservative so they understand.

If I say liberal, they think capitalist.

Can you give any legal citation where anti-discrimination laws apply to executive branch appointments?

“Joe Biden is racist for selecting a black VP” is certainly a take.

A dumb take. But could we expect anything else from Duffman?

I'll save everyone a lot of back and forth. Appointed political positions are not protected by discriminations laws. Appointing somebody to a running political positions, even less so than say a cabinet appointment.

A VP appointment is adding somebody onto your ticket who voters must vote for. This is not giving somebody a job. This is not a violation of any law.

You can run for President and say, "I am looking for a straight white male to be my VP on the ticket." (In fact with fringe KKK candidates in the past trying to get media attention have done this before, even if they were basically trolls with a 0% chance to win anything.....) But, this is perfectly legal.

Running for an election, and giving somebody an offer to run along with you is not the same as hiring. I do not understand the confusion here....

Also, bear in mind the President gets a lot of exceptions to discrimination restrictions when in office.

It is perfectly legal to use any criteria for offering a VP slot on a ticket to any potential candidate. You can literally look at anything or nothing. There are zero regulations. I do not understand why this is so complicated....

Biden could have put out an advert and said, "The first Asian lesbian who is not a veteran that matches with me on Tinder, and does not have kids, and is not disabled, will get the offer to be on the VP ticket." And this would be perfectly legal. Just as it is perfectly legal for KKK trolls putting themselves on tickets to look for "traditional white men who are upstanding...." Neither of these would be any sort of legal discrimination related issue.

When a candidate is added to a ticket to run for VP it is not the same as a President appointing a VP after one resigns or dies or whatever (though these actions are perfectly legal in either case, but it is even looser when running on a ticket versus being in power and appointing somebody.)
