Why are people throwing phones at concerts?

Experts hypothesize anything from excitement to wanting fame on social media could be fueling fans' behavior. Though fans have been throwing stuff at artists for decades (see: Ozzy Osbourne and the bat in 1982, David Bowie and the lollipop in 2004), there's no doubt it has become a trend over the past few months

Just in case you haven't heard this about the Prez of Columbia U., I'll report it here. I had to look this up. I'm sure though I'm mistaken in thinking that the MSM is suppressing this fact.

What ethnicity is Minouche Shafik?

Minouche Shafik - Wikipedia

So I don't think this was suppressed because the MSM didn't think it was of note.

Born in Egypt. Such a person should be thinking " the last thing I'd want to happen is have the college I'm running seem like it was the most sympathetic to Hamas" and take steps to see to that not happening ... unless of course she thinks being pro-Hamas is just what she'd like

What does the nationality of her parents or the nation of her birth have to do with her running Columbia U?

Better question: Do you have any proof her ethnicity is impacting her decisionmaking?

Maybe the MSM didn't mention it because it doesn't flipping matter?

Unlike other college presidents, she didn't waste a minute in calling the police on April 18th to arrest protesters who were violating campus rules. . More than 100 were arrested that day. 228 so far.

“You don’t want to see cops in riot gear descend on peaceful student protests. But if they’re breaking the rules and engaging in civil disobedience ... sometimes that’s what has to happen,” she says.

One week later, Yale and NYU called the police to enforce campus violations.150 arrested at NYU.

She is under pressure to resign. I'll grant some of that is coming from Leftists who didn't like what you are noting

How did things get out of hand at Columbia to start with? She needs to answer for that and the appearance she didn't do enough to squelch antisemitism in the bud

II'm curious the reasons the cops got involved in the first place. What crimes are the participants alleged to commit? What did the cops charge these arrestees with?

Being against Israeli policies is not antisemitism
Many of these protestors are jews against Israeli policy
Leave them alone
Just a bunch of nerds chanting and studying in their tents
