You are aware that Biden didn’t have the authority to declassify these documents during the 4 years he illegally had them before he was sworn in as President….. oh, I guess you didn’t. Trying to DEFEND Biden is a failed plan. So all you get is a plan of trying to COMPARE to Trump.

‘I may have killed some guys, but I’m not as bad as Dahmer because I didn’t eat them….’

I didn't know this either until today.

Obama changed that in 2009.

Quote:

Sec. 1.3. Classification Authority. (a) The authority to classify information originally may be exercised only by:

(1) the President and the Vice President;

https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/the-press-office/executive-order-classified-national-security-information

So, Biden had the same power as Trump. But I don't think Biden is making that claim anyway.

Trump lost his declassification power at the same time Biden did presumedly when they left office officially. So, both in the same boat.

I'm not defending Biden
Many on the left are disturbed by this including me
I don't think any Trumpers were disturbed by Trump which is telling.
I call them like I see them and this disturbs me.
Bring on President Harris
It's about time we have our 3rd female President after Edith and Jill

That is exactly the point, everyone on the right bent over backwards to defend Trump, and minimize how it was a nonissue, now when Biden does something similar (and probably by mistake/stupidity instead of intention), it is suddenly a major security concern.

Also, the content of the documents does matter (which we don't know yet, and may never), if he accidently slipped some classified contact sheet in with papers while making calls, that is very different than intentionally brining home nuclear documents (which there is no reason somebody would need to remove).

At the end of the day, both were wrong (but you will hear nobody on the right say this). And, scope of the crime does matter (amount of documents, content of documents, and reasons the documents may have been mixed into things).

Yup
Both cases disturb me
Republicans only disturbed by 1 case
Amazing

Third stash found.

Although he would be unbeatable in 2024, the party intends to install someone new.

If he resigns, they'll get their first black-asian-female president. A triple. Which is what they intended all along.

CNN, MSNBC, Whitehouse Press Corp, Ilan Omar, Schiff, turning less friendly.

Now Donna Brazile. "When there's a drip-drip-drip, there's something going on."

Hopefully, the next Republican i vote against will be because of policy primarily, and not that he’s a grifter, crook, fraud or whatever. Not asking for much.

Interesting.

Quote:
Former Federal Prosecutor Nick Ackerman argued that President Joe Biden won’t face criminal penalties over his possession of classified documents because he has already cleared the statute of limitations.

Which is 5 years.

I don’t really understand? He as of a few weeks ago was in possession of those documents. Wasn’t it criminal a few weeks ago? Or if you want to say he is exempt now because he IS President then he was committing the crime up until the day of his inauguration? Which is only 2 years ago? The crime is not just the day he took possession of the documents…. it continues until they are returned…. which they weren’t until very recently. The ‘crime’ is ‘possession’ of those documents in an unsecured location, right?

Not that I think any of the above is relevant. Return them all as soon as you find em, and say you’re sorry.

It would be my wish in a functioning USA we don't target friends and families of current leaders and former leaders. It's just not very peaceful or compassionate or stabilizing for the country, not which anybody cares unless they get what they want. We're all pretty corrupt in the USA and that is also a problem.

Quit being so reasonable. Clearly, all offenders of any crime deserve the death penalty.
At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent.
