Coming soon to Oregon: legal use of psilocybin, aka magic mushrooms.

see: https://www.wweek.com/news/2022/02/16/these-four-companies-want-to-take-you-on-a-psychedelic-voyage-in-oregon/

What a long, strange trip it will be.

I favor legalizing the psychedelic toad licking.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

I don't have an issue with this. In fact I think that its great.

These kinds of drugs are easy to hide and don't show on drug tests (not a drug test that any mainstream company or even the military would spend money on), so people that want to do them already easily can.

If they are legal at least they will be regulated (meaning safer, at least as safe as a psychedelic can be) and generate tax revenue.

May as well legalize LSD while they are at it, essentially the same effect from what I have heard.

I have no objection, really the only drugs that you can make a logical argument are drugs that cause heavy addiction like heroin. But, even that is a gray area because we have alcohol, not just legal, but at every corner market, and anyone can get a prescription for all kinds of opiates.

That is why "drugs" (in the illegal sense) becoming legal does not alarm me, we already have a society addled on legal drugs. But, psychedelics are often a one off or very occasional experience they are not drugs people use to get through the day. In fact LSD was originally used to treat alcoholism and addiction.

Psychedelics are probably the least dangerous drugs socially (in fact they may be a net benefit because they lead to many positive lifestyle changes even for single time users).

Make them all legal and tax the hell out of them like we do alcohol and cigarettes.

Everybody knows sex and drugs sell.
Govt might as well get a piece of the action
