I actually agree. Liberal (as well meaning as they may be) who are against natural gas, and nuclear power (I lump that in because there is often crossover), cannot say they are serious about environmental reform. These (especially nuclear) are the future for a cleaner planet. There is no logical reason to be militantly against nuclear power.....

I personally want to see more nuclear power all over the United States, it is safe and clean. (To be fair some conservatives are against this too, I know Alex Jones has had whole series against nuclear power.... so its not just an issue with the left, people are skeptical of nuclear power because they hear the word and think weapons or government conspiracy.)

I would love more nuclear power except I want it reformed to where we have a "standard" reactor or two. Pre-approved by the NRC, just plug and play. This is how other nations do it. In the USA most plants are custom built for no good reason. And we need to start moving the waste to Yucca Mountain like we planned to.

I swear half of the problem with fracking is the word sounds scary to the snowflakes. A thing I loved about being in OG industry was the terms and job titles are cool sounding. Landman was mine. The women were landmen as well. My boss was a "crew chief". Oil wells called "nodding donkeys." The casino has "pit boss" but otherwise we had the best. Do note that what all have in common is a person who lives in the PC world would cringe at them.

The USA doe so good because........of...............wait for it...................................FRACKING!

YES! The process the rabid global warming libs want to ban is the reason the USA does so well!

It also kept the Bills in Buffalo but that is another story.

We need to go back to using some of that fresh and clean-burning coal. It's really cheap, too. You could probably get away with paying them ~$12/hour these days; they'd just be happy to have work again.

There are a over 20 pending lawsuits.

Quote:
For decades, the country’s leading oil and gas companies have understood the science of climate change and the dangers posed by fossil fuels. Year after year, top executives heard it from their own scientists whose warnings were explicit and often dire.

In 1979, an Exxon study said that burning fossil fuels “will cause dramatic environmental effects” in the coming decades.
“The potential problem is great and urgent,” it concluded.

But instead of heeding the evidence of the research they were funding, major oil firms worked together to bury the findings and manufacture a counter narrative to undermine the growing scientific consensus around climate science. The fossil fuel industry’s campaign to create uncertainty paid off for decades by muddying public understanding of the growing dangers from global heating and stalling political action.

Yes, from selfish and greedy plaintiffs that think they have a right to the wealth someone else created.

Funny, these people do not crush their cars, move to small apartments, and do what they claim needs done. Instead they sue.

Imagine a world where there are clear winners and losers.

Winners have money, a job, winnings, or inherited assets; they're allowed tovote, marry, and move freely in the world.

Losers at life, e.g. the homeless and all others unable to support themselves as adults are summarily adjudged as losers and then put on the auction block at the local slave auction.

Winners vie for the pick of the litter, but all slaves will find a place somewhere.

It could work.

As far as I know, Galt wasn’t about deceiving the public in order to make a profit, by lying about significant findings concerning his product.

He was against shaking down companies for no good reason. Face it, this kind of lawsuit is just for governments to find another cash cow since the tobacco MAS expires soon.

Even such arguments as the Sahara could be the next ocean as we adapt from which we can extract resources has the expectation of dramatic and expensive shifts in how and where people live and work.

It's like arguing how out of control forest fires burning down people's houses will give them the opportunity to move into a better house. That's a really questionable "silver lining".
