My point was all Libertarians think
their words should be treated as
actually Coming From God.. I don't
think their feet touch the ground
when they walk, they're so Holy.

I forgive you for not being a Libertarian, my child.

The Libertarian Party has some good ideas, but they're all canceled out by an equal amount of nutty ideas. 😂😂

That’s a fair analysis. Of course, there are many ideas that get associated with us that I think aren’t actually true of the majority of Libertarians. We even have a Radical Caucus and a Reform Caucus as a result.

Somebody bought me a subscription to a Libertarian magazine, "Reason", thinking I would like it. Some articles are pretty good, some issues I care about too.

Altogether there is an odd assortment of issues they care about, including freedom and protection for pornography and prostitutes.

I don't particularly care about pornography and prostitutes specifically, as I do not partake of either of those two things. That said, Libertarians (myself included) believe in the general concept of free association, which in that case, would mean as long as the john and hooker are entering into the business contract voluntarily and understanding the risks (STD's) we would have no problem with that contract.

You could also outright legalize (as opposed to decriminalize) prostitution and have regulations, mandatory testing, licensed brothels and such...I would support that, but some Libertarians would be against as overly restrictive and the state should have nothing to do with it. I guess I should say I'd be in favor of regulated prostitution as long as it doesn't mean the cops are running around busting streetwalkers and johns in sting operations all the time.

90% of my reason for voting libertarian is because I despise the 2 party system.

I don’t agree with the entire platform, but it checks more boxes than the Democrat or Republican platform.

Mainly I disagree with the their platform on education and infrastructure.

YES!!! It's not often I encounter fellow Libertarians outside of Facebook. I think once in the grocery store and that's about it!

I can definitely understand the disagreements with the platform. Education is one example in which I'm fine with simply getting the Federal Government out of it and leaving it completely to states and localities to do whatever they like. As far as infrastructure, roads/bridges are one of the few areas in which I support taxation (preferably by way of the Federal Government taking a certain amount of tax revenue collected by the states) and Federal involvement, particularly as relates interstates. You could also have something like a Federal use tax, or 0.5% blanket Federal Sales Tax.

In fact, I don't even know that I would be a Libertarian, per se, if the Federal Government was out of a lot of stuff I don't think they should be involved in. If I had to classify myself as, "Belonging," to a political party at different levels (based on my views) here is how I think I would look:

Federal---Libertarian

State---Moderate Democrat, though pretty far left on social issues.

Local---Conservative-Leaning Independent

That's with local Government, which is generally focused on local spending and related matters. I like to see local Governments avoid taxation/levies as much as possible and be pretty cautious with spending in order to maintain a sustainable balance that can handle the inevitable downswings of microeconomic variance.
