Being able to place cops on all sides of a problem area in a few minutes would be useful. Cops would fine, but they don't have those kind of units. You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really? |

No Unit is perfect for riot control. A lot of people think the Army National Guard gets some special riot training or disaster training. You don’t. When you join you go to Army basic training, then you go to AIT (training on your Army job) then you go home and drill one weekend a month. There are no specialized units in the National Guard for riots, they just have to deal with it when it comes out. Its the same initial training as regular Army.... I guess you can make an argument that an MP unit may have riot training (I don't honestly know much about MPs), but that is who I would imagine, if anyone, gets specialized crowd control training.... But, even them, I doubt in AIT get much training on civilain riots... I know I never got any kind of special riot or non lethal weapons training. We only ever qualified on firearms and explosives, I never even touched a baton or taser in the National Guard.... I was in an infantry unit, it was basically Boy Scouts, we shot and camped in the field for drill weekends. You do more training on land navigation (map and compass) and shooting than you ever do in anything else... The National Guard is just the Army (or Airforce), but under a state. There is no specialized training for specific state level emergencies, I guess they assume people in the Army are adaptable enough to respond to the situation at hand. |

Then again, the smart people already knew that corona was just an excuse that the holier-than-thou cockroaches used, so that they could stay at home and avoid working. BUT as soon as the cockroaches saw the opportunity to riot and loot and steal and get stuff for "free", that's when they came out of the woodwork. And of a sudden they don't fear corona anymore! All looting of Macy's and other parts of a mall being covered by helicopter film crew. No police presence at all for the last hour and a 1/2. |
