For any that might be interested in facts rather than rhetoric from biased sites on both sides. According to the Congressional Budget Office the top 1% of income earners paid 25.1% of total US federal taxes in 2020. The top 20% paid 68.9% of total federal taxes in 2020.

Yet the left screams "NOT ENOUGH! GREEDY! SELFISH!"
The President is a fink.

If you want to look at it that way, everyone in the 35, 32, 24. 22, 12 10% brackets are screwing the 37%. Just at different levels. Anyone in less than the top bracket is just throwing their stones in glass houses of different sizes at lower incomes.
You believe in an invisible god, and dismiss people who say they are trans? Really?

I think the below quote is an accurate description, that’s not even reasonably debatable. The debate is only over if you think it’’s a great thing, bad thing, or something in between, and whether anything can or should be done about it.

The way it works for the wealthy, what else could you label it but as a “subsidy”?

I dislike ProPublica publishing an article (supposedly the first in a series) using illegally obtained information.

No apologist for the rich here, but they should not have their tax information made public without their consent.

I found it wrong even when The New York Times did something similar with The Former Guy.

Just as no one should be above the law, so no one should be unworthy of the law.

Who wrote the tax code, poor folk or minions of the rich?
The last official act of any government is to loot the treasury. GW

I'm not calling anyone a Communist, but it is very Bohshevist to be thinking that you and yours have the wealthy by the balls and you can just take their stuff because, wow, that's the new hip thing and who can argue. I beg to differ if you think the wealthy don't have any bullets left, so we'll see.

OK, hello, the Boshies did have them by the balls in Russia 1917 or so and got the Romanovs killed off and took what they had. All that vast wealth, wow, really enormous, they got to divide it up and give it to the poor... ummm, well I think it didn't quite get there, but somebody got it! And it is still making all the Russians rich as you can imagine, lasting till this day ... NOT. More like 5 minutes.
I'm Still Standing, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah [it's an old guy chant for me]
