FALSE Pfizer spokeswoman: “We were never part of the Warp Speed,” she said. “We have never taken any money from the U.S. government, or from anyone.” “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Dalex64 Member since: Mar 8, 2014 Threads: 3 Posts: 3687 | It looks like that information might not support your statement that "Operation Warpspeed has assisted Pfizer in developing the first vaccine". https://www.newsweek.com/pfizer-covid-vaccine-operation-warp-speed-trump-pence-1546024 Kathrin Jansen, the head of vaccine research and development at Pfizer, told The New York Times: "We have never taken any money from the U.S. government, or from anyone." and that Pfizer was "never part" of Operation Warp Speed. A Pfizer press release from July announced that, in agreement with Operation Warp Speed, the U.S. government would receive 100 million doses of the vaccine—subject to FDA approval—for $1.95 billion, with the option to acquire up to 500 million more. So, yes, that is an "advanced manufacturing funding commitment" but does that fit the statement "Operation Warpspeed has assisted Pfizer in developing the first vaccine"? Stephen King writes a novel. His publisher pays millions of dollars to print and ship the novel to stores. JCW's logic says his publisher wrote the novel and deserves the credit. “A straight man will not go for kids.” - AZDuffman |

Funny, if Trump wasn't known as such a common liar, such statements "as we are very close" might have saved his election in early October. Parents take note what lack of credibility can do to you, when you finally really need it. Furthermore if he hadn't spent February downplaying the virus, they might have mobilized early enough, this could have been done before Nov 3.
