Saturnalia was the holiday the Xtions stole from the pagans. When you have no traditions of your own, stealing the traditions of other cultures is the fast track to respectability. The yule tradition dates back thousands of years. It celebrates harvest and the start of the days getting longer leading into Spring. Lots of eating and drinking and merry making and gifting. All our Xmas traditions, even caroling, come from the pagans and not the fake newcomer Church of Rome. If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose. |
