Consequences for pretending to be a Member Of The Military Online? :/

| KNathan Member since: Dec 9, 2018 Threads: 37 Posts: 547 | I pretended to be a Navy Seal(SEAL) on another website despite never being in any Military Branch. The closest I came was creating a character who was a Sailor and ordering Navy video from the actual Navy like 18 years ago , LMAO! :D Well, Posters there were rightfully skeptical and asked Number One Navy Seal what the Recent Navy Seal Class that just graduated was. Of course, not being a real Navy SEAL, I didn't know and hopped on Google to find out. It was either Class 300 or 12 and I answered whatever Class it was. People were like,"He got the Recent Navy Class right as that Class graduated like two months ago, but I don't know why he calls Sea,Air, And Land a Seal like a Marine Animal and not a SEAL like Navy SEALS do. " Lots of people were skeptical on my "Seal vs SEAL slip up. A Poster said something like,"I hope this "Navy Seal," realizes that impersonating a Navy SEAL is a serious crime and I have half a mind to find out this "Navy Seal's" IP and report it to the Real Navy Military!" I confessed that I wasn't a real Navy SEAL soon after seeing that threat and admitted it was just something I did impulsively and didn't want to get into trouble with the Real Navy Military. The Admin banned NONS shortly after the confession. What are the consequences of what I had done? :/ |

Impersonating a servicemembers is only a crime if it is used to obtain benefits that you are otherwise not entitled to.... You can dress up as a Navy Seal if you want, free speech covers that.... |
