did anyone in Vegas feel that quake 30 minutes ago

You have a pretty accurate butt, because I think it officially was 3.16X as strong or 10^0.5 |

Am I mistaken, I thought every whole number on the Richter scale meant twice as strong as the previous number? At my age a Life In Prison sentence is not much of a deterrent. |

I'd like to think my butt is very sensitive *ahem*. However, I was at a group dinner last night and somebody took me to task for my 3x estimate. As he pointed out , it was 10^7.1/10^6.4 = 10^0.7 = 5.0119x as strong. Knowledge is Good -- Emil Faber |

There was one initial report that said the second earthquake was a 6.9 , so I was using 10^(6.9-6.4) = 10^0.5 ~ 3.16 |
