Nothing to do with faith, it's what
the forensic historians have reported
to be the truth. The Church version
is just a story to suck in new recruits.
Nobody wants to subscribe to a religion
where the leader was killed because

Lots of people have claimed to be
god, big deal. It used to get you
locked up at the funny farm. In Jesus
day you were branded a crank and
a nuisance and dealt with harshly.
Today when somebody claims to be
god, we can't commit them anymore,
so we ignore them.

It is odd that the Tate-LaBianca murders were included in that list. It was nothing but one set of druggies getting even with another set of druggies, but one side always gets better press. I think it may be the same way with religious issues: more supporters and better press coverage.

Koresh was killed for political reasons but it was still a big deal to him I'm sure.
