I'm pretty sure that movie was marketed to deliberately draw protests from some groups which would attract viewers who might have skipped it.



I actually remember having a conversation with someone who became a missionary. I said that Jesus must have had to have urges or else there would be no temptation.

As I understand it the author of the book was a devout Catholic who felt that Jesus would have had perfectly normal desires to have a wife and sex that he had to give up.
