Top brackets of 70% or more were around for a good percentage of history. Just not since Ronald Reagan was elected

But there were all kinds of shelters and ways around it. Nobody paid close to that.

These proposals are all just greed and jealousy on the part of the left.

And the rich still paid almost nothing
because of all the loopholes and
deductions. The rich always make
the rules on how much tax they pay,
that's why so many of them are in power.

Corey Booker is officially in the race.

He'd be near the bottom of my list, but one thing I do like is he's calling for marijuana legalization. Hopefully more Dems follow his lead. That is a very popular issue and basically free votes for whoever proposes it.

I just read that Howard Schultz does not vote
WTF
He wants my vote while not bothering to vote
I would never vote for somebody that does not vote
I view voting as a civic duty

The only people who want Howard Schultz to run are Trump supporters who would never even vote for him.

Shows how worried they are about Donny’s re-election odds.

Maybe it's just me but all of this posturing and predicting are meaningless (maybe fun, but meaningless) -- as we learned from election night 2016, an election night prediction giving HRC a 93% chance of winning was shown to be wrong - anything can happen

Here is one weird thing, it looks like Schultz is amazed at the liberal hate directed towards him. He thought he would be welcomed with open arms.
