So what are my options if I am in an apartment complex and can't have anything that involves outside dishes or thru the roof connections?

What do you pay COMCAST right now? Do you get telephone? If you get television and internet then do you know what internet would cost?

It seems I can only follow that upgrade link if I use chrome, not explorer,

I have:
Internet Plus 44.99
which includes: Limited Basic, Streampix, Selected Premium Channel (Starz), TV Box and Performance Internet.

Equipment and services:
Internet/Voice Equipment rental 11.00

Other charges;
Broadcast TV fee 8.00

Yet just about every button I press on the channel lineup results in a message of 'service not available, click here to subscribe'

All I can see is dumb movies like Road House and Clint Eastwood as an 18 year old actor or something. Starz is a lousy channel.
I don't get ID network, Natgeo, TNT, AMC, Discovery, TLC.

I do get some things that say ' free with subscription ' but they don't say subscription to what or how much that subscription is.

Comcast is driving me crazy.

If I use that stream/upgrade link, above, what is the charge? Is it per show that I watch?

Comcast has declared these model cable boxes to be outdated: DCH3416, DCT6200, DCH3200, DCT6412, DCT3416, DCT6416, DCT5100, DCH6200, DCT3412, and DCT6208. Do you have one of them?

Streampix is about $5 per month. There is no per show charge.

Your package is the lowest tier COMCAST offers and normally includes only 10 channels : Limited Basic Cable
Local broadcast stations (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, PBS, etc.)
Local government channels
Education channels

You mention $44.99+$11.00+$8.00=$64 (what do you pay with taxes?)
COMCAST advertises $29.99 + $11.00 in Pennsylvania for just internet (new customers), so it sounds like you are paying $23 to get channels you might get with an antenna.

What do you pay for your phone service and which company? It sounds like you are paying over $80 combined.

The reason I ask is that AT&T offers unlimited plans for $70 and $80 that includes phone and 30+ channels of TV owned by 5 companies.
https://www.att.com/plans/unlimited-data-plans.html

  1. CNN --------- AT&T
  2. HLN --------- AT&T
  3. TBS --------- AT&T
  4. TCM --------- AT&T
  5. TNT --------- AT&T
  6. truTV --------- AT&T
  7. Audience --------- AT&T
  8. Boomerang --------- AT&T
  9. Cartoon Network --------- AT&T
    .
  10. Hallmark Channel --------- HALLMARK
  11. Hallmark Movies and Mysteries --------- HALLMARK
    .
  12. A&E --------- A&E
  13. History --------- A&E
  14. Viceland --------- A&E
  15. Lifetime --------- A&E
  16. Lifetime Movie Network --------- A&E (not on DirectTV Now "Live a Little" Plan)
  17. FYI --------- A&E (not on DirectTV Now "Live a Little" Plan)
    .
  18. Discovery Channel --------- DISCOVERY
  19. Animal Planet --------- DISCOVERY
  20. Food Network --------- DISCOVERY
  21. HGTV --------- DISCOVERY
  22. Investigation Discovery --------- DISCOVERY
  23. TLC --------- DISCOVERY
  24. Velocity --------- DISCOVERY
  25. OWN --------- DISCOVERY (not on DirectTV Now "Live a Little" Plan)
    .
  26. AMC --------- AMC
  27. WE TV --------- AMC
  28. BBC America --------- AMC (not on DirectTV Now "Live a Little" Plan)
  29. BBC World News --------- AMC (not on DirectTV Now "Live a Little" Plan)
  30. IFC --------- AMC (not on DirectTV Now "Live a Little" Plan)
  31. Sundance TV --------- AMC (not on DirectTV Now "Live a Little" Plan)

The $80 plan lets you choose one of seven music, movie, or entertainment perks HBO CINEMAX SHOWTIME STARZ VRV Amazon Music Spotify
I imagine most people get HBO.

The next step up is called "Live a Little" Plan which includes all of the above channels, minus the 7 marked, and now includes sports like ESPN and more popular channels like Fox News, FX, FXX, Disney, Freeform, and about 30 others.

You would wire your phone to your TV (first part of video)

The $80 plan also gives you 15GB personal hotspot so your can run your laptop computer.

Just saw a cereal commercial cartoon.
The kids in it had no nationality. They
were white/black/Asian/Slavic. I
don't know how they did it, they were
very disturbing looking. A computer
must have taken stereotypical features
and combined them. Awful.
If you take a risk, you may lose. If you never take a risk, you will always lose.

This advert was banned for suggesting it was taboo to have an interracial relationship. My question is what the heck are they advertising?

I have no clue about this story, but my guess is if it was banned, it was for advertising a nicotine product (ecig), not banned because there was an interracial couple.... Ecigs are now being treated to the same restrictions as regular cigs in many cases (and I am sure that is carrying over to ads).

I would be highly surprised if a commercial was banned for having an interracial couple by implying it was "taboo"....

Technically the 2020-2021 broadcast season began, but COVID prevented most new shows from being made. The biggest scripted hit is now a Canadian show called Transplant which scored an average of 3.5 million viewers.

Millions of Viewers
4.509 I Can See Your Voice FOX
4.974 Weakest Link NBC
3.418 Emergency Call ABC
3.672 Transplant NBC==== highest rated scripted show (shown February 26 - May 27, 2020 on Canadian Television | 13 episodes)
3.348 The Greatest #AtHome Videos CBS
3.328 The FBI Declassified CBS
2.425 LA's Finest (renewed) FOX ============= scripted show (shown May 13-June 17, 2019 on Spectrum | 13 episodes)
2.264 Filthy Rich FOX ------------------------------------------ new scripted
1.572 Cosmos: Possible Worlds FOX
1.808 neXt FOX------------------------------------------ new scripted
1.671 Connecting ... NBC------------------------------------------ scripted
1.480 Manhunt CBS ============= scripted show (show February 3, 2020 on Spectrum | 10 episodes)
1.732 Star Trek: Discovery CBS============= Shown 3 years ago behind paywall on CBS All Access | 15 episodes
1.105 Swamp Thing CW------------------------------------------ new scripted
0.744 World’s Funniest Animals CW
0.602 Devils CW ======= Shown (April 2020 on Sky Atlantic in Italy and OCS in France and September 2020 on W Network in Canada)

COVID may kill at least one broadcast network as well as most of the movie business.

The only big-budget movie released since COVID has been Tenet which earned a paltry
$48,300,000 in US and Canada
$75,300,000 in China
$200,000,000 Rest of the World

Wonder Woman 1984 is supposed to be released in 10 weeks. I wonder if it will be delayed again.
