| FallawayJumper Member since: Feb 18, 2018 Threads: 4 Posts: 21 | there will always be a special place in my heart for Fela Kuti who combined political activism with his music during the 70s. others have done this but he was completely unique. he hated the Nigerian Government and especially their soldiers whom he called Zombies. because of his protests one day soldiers threw his elderly mother out of a window and killed her. he was a musician, bandleader, composer and arranger. his music, which features a large band including much brass is highly regarded by virtually all jazz pundits R.I.P.
