It was based on a Debbie Reynolds and Tony Curtis film from 1964. We have a French film with a similar theme. However after the switch, people retain their old sex, but all the gender behavior is reversed. Women are the selfish lovers who are only concerned with getting themselves off and quickly pass out before the man is satisfied. It's partly interesting because most men in American films don't behave quite so overtly (soliciting oral sex for job advancement). On Netflix. |

We tend to depict females as wanting love or some sort of emotional tenderness and time together rather than having the man call a cab for her right away when in reality women often want the man to just leave and pay for his own cab because they too have obtained what they wanted. |

Lol. So true in so many cases. Never doubt a small group of concerned citizens can change the world; it's the only thing ever has |

Starting at around 49 seconds in the trailer, Damien is having sex with one of his "friends with benefits". But now the roles are reversed and the female director has her actress do an impression of a man who is completely self absorbed. Damien's only lines are "Are you OK?" and "We're not done". ============== The 1985 German film, Men (Mannen), is a somewhat more realistic romantic comedy with role reversal. An extremely egotistical married man who regularly cheats on his wife, finds that she has taken a lover for much the same reasons he does. Just for something different. He is an ambitious successful man, and her lover is a poor ne-er do well artist. Although he expected his wife to understand that his mistress was not that important, when the other shoe drops, the husband completely falls apart. He takes a leave of absence and answers an ad for a house-mate to the lover and tries to conceal his identity from his wife while he figures out the attraction. It gets complicated because he ends up actually sympathizing with the other man. |

Now you are being dark. The actress that plays this part, Blanche Gardin, is obviously very funny but I don't know if she speaks English, and I can't understand a word |
