Can't leave, never joined. Way to invasive.

No.

But I mainly use Facebook to play games and creep on former classmates/coworkers. I don't post anything too personal and I certainly don't use the Messenger app for texting.

I have 6 FB accounts and I use them all.
There's no place comparable to go, why
would I leave. On one TV show page, I
have 16,000 followers. When I post, 16K
people see it. Good for my ego.

I was shocked to see about 30 apps that have access to who knows what through facebook. I just disabled all of them. To do so yourself, go to https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=applications.

I have 6 FB accounts and no personal info
on any of them. None are even in my real
name.

FB has been a data miner since near the start. Zuke hates privacy for people other than himself.

I am still on FB but using it less and less. I found a guy to paint my house for example, and a good, honest mechanic via the local group. FB is now all political rants and for business. Their days of being a friendly hangout are over.

This stuff happens everywhere. If you have a state ID/drivers license, you're local Secretary of State or DMV sells your info without your permission. Have a casino players card? Yep, they do it too.

Ok. :)

I've realized it takes too much of my time, regardless of other considerations. from time to time I try to reduce what shows on my feed, but FB kinds of fights back and shows more from what I allow, including older posts, and adds many more suggestions of people or pages I may want to follow.

I could try to keep reducing the feed, or just quit using it so much. For now I disabled it (can't delete it) from the phone with the company phone line.

My wife and sisters and parents are in
FL this week. They post 40 pics a day
on FB. It's a great way to keep up with
what people you know are doing.

It used to be you'd send a post card
and after you got home it would
arrive at your relatives house. Now I
see videos of them minutes after
it happens and I can be so glad I'm
not there with them..
