Lady Gabriella Windsor (49th in line for the throne) who grew up with her second cousins one generation remove, Princes William and Harry, in another wing of Kensington Palace was the first high ranking royal in the Windsor family to begin dating dark skinned boy, Aatish Taseer , that she met at Brown University in America. The Queen is married to Prince Phillip, her 2nd cousin, one generation removed. Prince Charles was expected to marry his 2nd cousin. When her grandfather and brother were killed by Irish terrorists, she refused Charle's proposal which set up his marriage to Diana. It was thought that William may continue the royal tradition of marrying their 1st through 3rd cousins, and Gabriella seemed like an obvious choice as they are the same age and grew up in the same palace. |
