I believe Canada has had such a policy for many years now. They were inspired by the rush from Hong Kong. With $1 USD = 100.674 ISK Icelandic Krona I suggest that they fix the exchange rate at ISK<-> penny soon so that they become a convenient offshore money haven.  The 10,000 ISK banknote (worth US$100) may soon be banned as a measure to avoid tax evasion. Also with JFK-KEF a mere 2,593 mi the new supersonic aircraft will make a round trip to Iceland a day trip. |
